The owner (his grandfather had the boat built) ditched the aging petrol for a 150bhp 1.9 golf gt tdi motor. it goes like a sodding rocket. the layout was fairly basic, and i will get photos of the layout and talk to him about cost and bits availability if you like.. See scott de witt or other vendors here for mechanical tdi pumps. or, you could have giles gallie build you one or even follow the directions at 'the other vw diesel site" and build your own. one of my cousins has a 1.6na in his fishing boat. made a huge improvement in range and reliability..
His 1.9 tdi spins up to 3700 i believe... seems unfair that little motor almost keeps up to the 383. so i bought my self a 2.0 tdi, bhw out of a 05 passat and my engine project begins. i had a bunch off work done by jamie at highcaliber and his ongoing customer support has got my interest in buying a boat from him..
